About My Reviews
Hello, readers!
I love reading and if you are coming to this site, I'm assuming you do, too! I enjoy a variety of books- while historical fiction holds a special place in my heart, I also take pleasure in reading science fiction, fantasy (especially fairy tale retellings), young adult fiction, mysteries, and non-fiction (specifically on history). Every once in awhile, I might try a contemporary now and then just to shake things up, although it is not my preferred genre.
As a Christian, I believe it's important to take stock of what we are letting into our minds and I try to read things that are both entertaining and beneficial to the spirit. As Philippians 4: 8 says, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."
While I don't limit myself to reading only "Christian fiction" I am strict about the secular books that I read and avoid those with explicit sex, language, ungodly lifestyles, and graphic violence.
I am very blessed to get many books free for review from a variety of companies. However, this does not affect the honesty of my reviews in any way.
